Pastor's thoughts on Marriage...

In the eyes of God, marriage is most important and God instituted this union between a man and a woman. Today our country suffers spiritually due to the breakdown in marriages, usually ending in divorce. It is our goal here at Grace Fellowship of Waddy to strengthen and develop strong marriages. Strong marriages mean strong families and strong families mean strong relationships. Marriage is so important to the Father, that He uses the analogy of marriage to demonstrate the union between Jesus Christ and His Church.

Ephesians 5:24-25, 28-29

"Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the Church and gave himself for her... So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the Church."

The successful marriage is a 100% contribution from both the husband and wife. When the contribution is based on the Word of God, it will produce a Word birthed, faith based union that will stand the test of time and onslaughts brought on from our arch enemy the devil. Marriage is a model to the world of Christ's love for His Church.
